This Privacy Policy explains how Alireza Ehteshami, Ph.D. (“I,” “me,” or “my”) handles personal information through this website. By using the website, you acknowledge the practices described here.
Information collected
I may collect information in three ways:
- Information you submit. A consultation form asks for your name, email address, phone number (required only when phone is your preferred contact method), preferred contact method, general availability, and confirmation that you understand the form's limits. If you contact me by email or phone, I also receive the information you choose to share in that communication.
- Security information. The form creates a random submission identifier and uses Cloudflare Turnstile. Cloudflare may process an IP address and browser or device signals to distinguish people from automated traffic. The form fields themselves are not sent to Turnstile.
- Website and advertising information. Hosting and advertising providers may receive technical information such as an IP address, browser or device type, requested page, date and time, referring or campaign information, and interactions with the website.
Please do not use the consultation form, email, or voicemail to send symptoms, diagnoses, treatment history, medications, or other sensitive clinical or medical information.
How information is used
Information may be used to:
- respond to an inquiry and arrange an initial consultation;
- communicate through the contact method you select;
- operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website;
- prevent spam, fraud, abuse, or other unauthorized activity;
- measure whether advertising leads to a successful consultation request; and
- comply with legal, regulatory, or professional obligations.
Service providers
Limited information is processed by service providers that support this website:
- Vercel hosts and delivers the website and may process network, device, and request-log information. Read the Vercel Privacy Notice.
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks consultation-form traffic for bots and abuse. Read the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
- Resend transmits the consultation request by email to the private recipient configured for this website. The message includes the form fields you submit, but not the Turnstile token. Read the Resend Privacy Policy.
- Google Ads provides campaign and conversion measurement on the public production website. Read the Google Privacy Policy.
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices and may use subprocessors or process information in other jurisdictions.
Retention and disclosure
Consultation contact information may be retained in email and related service systems for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, coordinate scheduling, maintain appropriate administrative records, protect the website, and meet legal or professional obligations. Provider logs and backups may follow each provider's own retention schedule.
Information may be available to me, authorized practice personnel who need it to respond, and the service providers described above. It may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to a valid legal process, protect safety or rights, investigate abuse, or transfer website operations to a successor.
I do not sell personal information for money. Depending on the law where you live, advertising measurement through Google Ads may be treated as advertising-related “sharing” or processing.
Website privacy and clinical privacy are different
Sending a consultation request does not establish a therapist-client relationship. This website policy does not replace informed-consent documents, notices, or other privacy information provided if clinical services begin. Clinical records are handled separately under applicable professional, legal, and practice requirements.
This website and its contact methods are not monitored for emergencies. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department if there is immediate danger. In the United States, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
Your choices and privacy requests
You may choose not to submit the consultation form. You may also adjust browser cookie controls and Google advertising settings. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask about, access, correct, or delete personal information, or to object to or limit certain uses.
To discuss a privacy request, use the contact form to request a follow-up. Provide only your contact details and availability; we can discuss your request when I respond. I may need to verify your identity. Some information may need to be retained when required by law, professional obligations, security needs, or a valid legal exception.
Security and children's privacy
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect website information, but no internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
This website is not intended for children under 13 to submit personal information independently. A parent or guardian should assist with inquiries for a child under 13. If you believe a child under 13 submitted information without appropriate involvement, please contact me so it can be reviewed and, when appropriate, deleted.
