The distance between wanting therapy and attending it is often practical, not psychological.

A commute across Atlanta traffic, a schedule with no slack, a town hours from the clinicians you would want to see, caregiving that keeps you close to home, or simply the privacy of not being seen in a waiting room—the reasons therapy keeps getting postponed are usually logistical. Online sessions remove most of them.

What remains is the work itself, unchanged: the same session structure, the same evidence-based approaches, the same therapist week to week. Research consistently finds online therapy comparable to in-person care for many common concerns, and if the format ever stops serving you, that becomes part of the conversation rather than a reason to quietly stop.

What online sessions can hold

Telehealth is a format, not a different kind of therapy. The work remains the same; the room is yours.

The full range of the work

Anxiety, low mood and burnout, emotion regulation, adult ADHD, and recurring patterns—the same concerns I see in person, addressed with the same methods.

Structure that travels

Skills practice, structured review of the week, and between-session plans work over video exactly as they do across a room.

Access across Georgia

Outside the Atlanta metro, moving within the state, or traveling often—sessions continue wherever in Georgia you are.

Practical, secure, consistent

A format chosen deliberately works better than one settled for.

Sessions take place over a secure video platform in the same weekly rhythm as in-person work. I also hold in-person availability in Atlanta, so the format can follow your circumstances rather than the other way around—some clients meet online year-round; others move between the two as life changes.

Protect the frame

A private space and a predictable time matter as much online as in an office. We can think together about how to make your setting workable.

Keep the work active

Video sessions are not just conversation at a distance—skills, structured review, and concrete between-session plans keep the therapy moving.

Stay honest about fit

If your concerns would be better served in person or by a higher level of care, I will say so directly and help you arrange it.

I earned my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Emory University and completed an APA-accredited predoctoral internship through Emory University School of Medicine’s Child, Adolescent & Young Adult Psychiatry program.

I am completing a postdoctoral fellowship at Perimeter Mood & Anxiety Program. I draw from evidence-based treatments including CBT, ACT, and DBT, selecting methods according to each person’s needs rather than applying a single formula.

I am a Pre-Licensed Professional in Clinical Psychology. I provide clinical services under the supervision of Craig Kerley, Psy.D., a licensed psychologist in Georgia, license number PSY002840.
More about my background

Common questions

A little more clarity before you reach out.

Is online therapy as effective as meeting in person?

For many common concerns—including anxiety, depression, and the skills-based work I do—research consistently finds online therapy comparable to in-person care. What matters more than the format is the fit of the approach, the consistency of the work, and whether sessions stay active rather than drifting. If online sessions are not serving you, we discuss it openly.

What do I need for online sessions?

A private space, a reliable internet connection, and a computer, tablet, or phone. Sessions use a secure video platform, and you receive the link ahead of time. You need to be physically located in Georgia at the time of each session; within the state, where you are is up to you.

Can I switch between online and in-person sessions?

Yes. I see clients in person in Atlanta and by video across Georgia, and the format can change as your circumstances do. Some people prefer meeting in person to begin and moving online later; others do the reverse. This is a practical decision we make together, not a commitment you sign up for.
